Blogoversary: Intro Post

Black writing = Lanna. The blue? That'd be Julie making comments.

When this blog officially started is a little muddled up. Back when the blog technically started, Julie wasn't a member yet and it was just me and some other people (other people who are no longer posting on this blog, as you've probably noticed) and then after Julie joined, we weren't posting regularly and never really knew about the whole blogging community thing (MAJOR understatement there...).

So, we weren't really sure which date would be the official Bloggers[heart]Books Blogoversary; should it be when the blog started (I'm not sure we actually know when that was either...sometime before October 15 is the best we got)? When Julie joined? When we first started taking the blog thing seriously?

Well, we went with the last option there: the blog has been around since at least October 2008 but we never really got into blogging properly until December 2009. So we've decided that is when we'll celebrate our Blogoversary (not that I'm particularly into that kind of thing, I'm not even into making a big deal out of my birthday - but hey, this is an excuse for me to play on photoshop and for us to have a contest, now that I'm all for)(and I totally let her because I'm nice like that).

For our Blogoversary, we're going to have a week of posts and each one will start with one of our favourite parts of blogging so far (and there will be a contest and other things). And this post isn't particularly interesting, but I figured it'd be better to get the explanation of the week of posts out of the way in an intro. =P

Later.
