Waiting on Wednsday: The Sequel Edition!

I warned you! This was an easy way for me to make sure we got a post up AND I get to promote books I LUST OVER LIKE WOAH.

Timepiece
Myra McEntire
EgmontUSA
[June 12, 2012]

So, there is no summary released for this yet. But it's possible I know a thing or two. And even if I didn't possibly know these things, I'd still want it. It's part of the Hourglass series and frankly, Myra could rewrite the phone book and I'd want it. So I want this. A lot.

Also, this cover isn't THE cover. It's the ARC cover. Asshat's leaked the cover (but um...it's kind of gorgeous, at least?).

Last Rite
Lisa Desrochers
TorTeen
[May 2012]

Again, no summary yet. Doesn't matter. Y'all know I am a HUGE fan of this series and of Lisa. So obviously I need this book in my life ASAP. I need to know what will happen!

And what about this cover? Easily the best of the series, non? I love the mix of colors and the obvious conflict. One of my favorite things about this series is that it's covers are like "I HAVE A LOVE TRIANGLE. ACCEPT IT," instead of most other YA books with love triangles that try to not tell you and then you read it and you're just like "Son of a...."

Magic Under Stone
Jaclyn Dolamore
Bloomsbury USA Children's Books
[April 10, 2012]
For star-crossed lovers Nimira and Erris, there can be no happily ever after until Erris is freed from the clockwork form in which his soul is trapped. And so they go in search of the sorcerer Ordorio Valdana, hoping he will know how to grant Erris real life again. When they learn that Valdana has mysteriously vanished, it's not long before Nimira decides to take matters into her own hands—and begins to study the sorcerer's spell books in secret. Yet even as she begins to understand the power and limitations of sorcery, it becomes clear that freeing Erris will bring danger—if not out-and-out war—as factions within the faerie world are prepared to stop at nothing to prevent him from regaining the throne.

I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Magic Under Glass and Between the Sea and Sky, so I'm desperate for this one. And the cover is so pretty and wonderful and WHY DON'T I HAVE YOU, BOOK?

Hallowed
Cynthia Hand
HarperCollins' Publishers
[January 17, 2012]
For months part-angel Clara Gardner trained to face the raging forest fire from her visions and rescue the alluring and mysterious Christian Prescott from the blaze. But nothing could prepare her for the fateful decisions she would be forced to make that day, or the startling revelation that her purpose—the task she was put on earth to accomplish—is not as straightforward as she thought. Now, torn between her increasingly complicated feelings for Christian and her love for her boyfriend, Tucker, Clara struggles to make sense of what she was supposed to do the day of the fire. And, as she is drawn further into the world of part angels and the growing conflict between White Wings and Black Wings, Clara learns of the terrifying new reality that she must face: Someone close to her will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
I lurved Unearthly. So once again, I needz. NEEDZ.

Insurgent
Vernoica Roth
HarperCollins
[May 28, 2012]
One choice can transform you—or it can destroy you. But every choice has consequences, and as unrest surges in the factions all around her, Tris Prior must continue trying to save those she loves—and herself—while grappling with haunting questions of grief and forgiveness, identity and loyalty, politics and love.

Tris's initiation day should have been marked by celebration and victory with her chosen faction; instead, the day ended with unspeakable horrors. War now looms as conflict between the factions and their ideologies grows. And in times of war, sides must be chosen, secrets will emerge, and choices will become even more irrevocable—and even more powerful. Transformed by her own decisions but also by haunting grief and guilt, radical new discoveries, and shifting relationships, Tris must fully embrace her Divergence, even if she does not know what she may lose by doing so.

Divergent is one of my top books of this year. Clearly I need this one too.

So, I'm gonna stop there. But there may be more sequels in the future. So yeah.
